The Diary
Pete: Going on my 4th week of experimenting with no sleep. Aside from the hallucinations and the voices in my head speaking to me, I have observed no ill effects. Then again, I was having a meaningful conversation with my pantone color book this morning.
INCENTIVE ART: Virgil and Dante. What will they speak of next?

Am I the only one picturing Diva leaving these sticky notes in the diary and Mom seeing them, facepalming, and going “of _course_ she wasn’t bluffing. The girl couldn’t bluff to save her life.”

Every child has the fear of being adopted – I wondered whether Diva was going to think that. I’m guessing that they’re not cousins, but perhaps, because her mother was an angel and father was a devil, that’s why Diva has the appearance of a devil but the characteristics of an angel. (Maybe ‘Ralphie’ married a devil, thus explaining concordantly, why Angela is so mean?)

I remember this incentive from last year. have they been like this for a while?

@BabyDaisy: Well, that’s a pretty good theory.
But I think Diva may be exaggerating. She doesn’t want to be Gabe’s cousin so she thinks she must be adopted? Why not think that Gabe is the one who is adopted instead?

Interesting theory, ZukiLama! Never thought about it that way.

I had a similar thought about Gabe being adopted, then again maybe Angela is also.
If I remember correctly, this reading of the diary is taking place before Angela’s trial. So what ever grave secret Diva is about to discover, is what forces her mother to take the case and save Angela.
Here’s another idea…Angela and Diva are twins. Hmm…A lot can be worked out from there, so I think I’ll be quiet now.

Sylent, that’s hilarious! I love it!

Hmmmm. Clearly y’all are not adopted and not familiar with adoption/foster issues, but that’s pretty common. FYI, “Real Parents” are the parents who raise you, feed you, clothe you, put bandaids on ouchies, let you climb into their bed at 3AM because you had a bad dream, put you through school, put up with teenage music & attitude, and are there for you when you need them. BIOLOGICAL PARENTS are the genetic donors who may or may not be involved in your life.
BabyDaisy -I disagree because the primary difference between an adopted child and one raised by his/her birth parents is that the adopted child *knows* he/she is loved…

Maybe that’s why Diva tries to keep saving Angela from everything!
Do you imagine? D;

Out of interest, if we press VOTE are we still voting for something in a webcomic category?
