JOE C: The long wait is over and finally, FINALLY, we’re rolling out ‘Dark Pink.’ You’ve been waiting a year, but the first draft of Issue 11 was finished in October, 2011! This issue wouldn’t have happened without Jason and Angry Viking’s help. Pete and I thank you from the bottom of our cracked Evil Diva hearts.

ABOUT THE COVER: This cover represents the first artistic collaboration between Angry Viking and Team Diva. Inspired by Jason, all told a total of four artists, two each from AV and TD, contributed to it.
As always, thanks for your support and don’t forget to vote.

Pete: Regarding updates, I usually update at 10am. Sometime it takes me a few extra minutes, like today. Rest assured I will do everything in my power to make sure we are up by 11am at the absolute latest. Thanks for your patience.

TODAY’S INCENTIVE: Only half of Joe C’s portrait of Diva made it to the cover. Enjoy the un-edited art here. Note the skulls reflected in Diva’s eyes. Diva’s broken heart logo is also somewhere in the composition.

Sometimes you need to refresh the incentive page at Top Web Comics if the correct image does not show up. It seems to be a problem with their cache.

After a year, we decided to reset our comments section. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself awaiting moderation, even if you’re a veteran Diva fanatic. Please remember to practice the three C’s in there:

1. Keep it Civil.
2. Keep it Constructive.
3. Keep it Clean.

  2. Jason Canty

AHH psycke out. XD I thought it was going tobe the first page. XD

  3. Scarlett (used to post as Ginger)

That cover is outrageous. I can’t wait to see more! Welcome back, Diva!

  4. fairportfan

    Ummm.

Let’s see what the actual art is like.

Right now (not referring to the page, just in general) i’m missing Cassandra.

  5. Artemisia

    Fairportfan,

    I don’t…but that’s because I read her other stuff.

I can’t wait to see Evil Diva getting rolling again.

  6. Dana

Awesome cover as always! Good to have you back, Diva!

  7. Nessa

Woww the sudden realism is jarring. Not that that’s a bad thing! This is incredible! Makes me curious of the silhouette, could be a new Villain, but could be Diva herself..hehe. Love it. Glad to see you folks are back.

  8. BillWill

Is the broken heart thingy in her lips? Cool.

  9. Quill

Awww yeaaah, here we go! B)

I’m a bit concerned about Team Diva’s recent e-mail practices. In addition to sending advertisements to people who didn’t explicitly opt-in to receive promotional e-mails (illegal under the CAN-SPAM act), they’ve now made the e-mail addresses on their mailing list visible to all recipients of their latest mail.

Whoever’s in charge of publicity on Team Diva should probably get a handle on things before someone starts feeling litigious…

  11. BillWill

Yes on one of the emails my email got listed and I was upset too but it seems unintentional. Hopefully in the future Team Diva will use more care. I agree Susian Team Diva needs to get that straight. As for CAN-SPAM, you don’t have to have people opt in you just need to have a way for them to opt out and the emails I get have one at the end. In terms of feeling litigious anti-SLAPP statutes would probably put a hurtin’ on such a person, you just can’t claim Butthurt in the First Degree without consequences.

  12. DeadSilent

The art reminds me of the Les Miserables poster

The cc structure of the last email was in error and all requests to unsubscribe have been honored.

  14. Joe C

Dead silent is almost right. I based the Diva portrait on the National Geographic ‘Green Eyes’ cover. The Les Mis portraits are derivative of that.

  15. Joe C

    AKA ‘Afghan Girl’

    @Artemisia – i’m enjoying Cassandra’s other stuff, too.

But i still think of her as a Diva artist … and her style is what i see in my head when i think of Diva.

Well, i survived when John Romita replaced Steve Ditko on Spider-Man (yes, i’m THAT old), so i’ll probably manage to here, too.

(Oopsie – put the wrong e-mail on my last comment. Repeating:)
