Sketch Comics: (Really) Old Man Adventures 4
TeeheeHEE. Technically speaking, I know the fight with the lion, leopard, and she-wolf takes place in the dark woods, but I just couldn’t resist writing it this way. So ends the first (Really) Old Man Adventure! (Worry ye not, there’s plenty more where that came from.)
This page’s title box was dreamed up by a reader named Drendar — thanks to everyone who made great suggestions on the last page, I have a ton of hilarious images to work through on many (R)OMAs to come. :D
As for Evil Diva, look for the cover on Monday, and the first real page on Wednesday. And have a fabulous holiday weekend if you’re in the US! (Sorry, rest of the world. I’ll enjoy some barbeque for you.)
There’s also another excruciatingly adorable new Jayd sketch voting incentive to tide you over ’til Monday.

I find it fairly obvious that Virgil was trying to tell Dante he IS that Virgil that he is referring to.

Muffins is so cute on Virgil’s shoulder, pointing at the bear.
I feel like someone is going to pop out of no where saying, “Ready? FIGHT!”

Yaay! Virgil is… Virgil! And Dante is such a dopey putz! What a jerk! but he is so (lovably) funny! And I noted ED is ssooooo close to #10 (like, “yaay”) and I just love the splash panel (or title panel) with Virgil and Mr. Fluffywhatshisname fighting a bear. Virgil’s a really “take charge” kinda guy. I like him. And I love that pathetic cretin Dante! (I had to reiterate). Really? (hopeful glee)…NO! Okay, ED comix and I are no serious BFFs. How juvenile is that? Oh well, I seriously love this comic. Keep up the pace, and don’t suck!

er “now BFFs, not “no” (stoopid fingurs)
May 22nd, 2009 at 11:12 pm
I find it fairly obvious that Dante is a (as Hedley Lamar might infer) “a pathetic putz!” So no matter how obvious (Mr.) Virgil may be, Dante is far too self-centered to notice much that is not tied to his finger.

OMG, totally geeking out over that. Awesome.

This is a beautiful, beautiful story. But I regret to tell you that the U.S. doesn’t have a monopoly on the festival mood — a friend in the U.K. informs me that they’re having a *four*-day weekend for a bank holiday. (He didn’t say what holiday … anybody here know?)

The Bff charm cracked me up. XD
And lol, Dante…the irony.
The picture in the top is actually my favorite part….I love that bear.

I love the look on Virgil’s face as Dante says he’ll name a character in his book after Virgil. It’s the simple things.
Oh, and you’re only 300 votes short of that coveted tenth spot on TWC.

I just went and gave my daily vote for this comic on TWC, and Evil Diva is currently sitting about 40, FORTY, votes away from #10! I’m about to flip!

18 more votes and the ED banner shows up. Time to conjure up my friendly forces of darkness to help–starting with Angela (after all, who are we kidding here?)

TYVM! You are far too kind. But it is really your amazing gift for multi-layered storytelling and fun fun fun art stylings that attract the masses and inspire loyalty. But, like any self-respecting devil, as a small token of appreciation I would gladly accept ANY referrals to a serious Tarot artist (see my link) should you find one in your travels. I am deeply involved in a project that has need of an artist who desires to become wealthy and famous (in this lifetime), so if you happen to come across any, please do send them my way.

Lol my bad English caused me to realise only now who you meant with Virgil, we use his Latin name.
I don’t know enough about Dante’s Inferno to appreciate half these jokes :(
