Issue 6: Page 21
Early post today because I did something exceedingly stupid last night (fell down on the stairs at the theater*) and so now I can’t do anything BUT sit here and work on the update. My pain, your gain!
*DON’T PANIC MOM I’M OKAY. I just, uh, was all giddy about INCEPTION in IMAX (and STORYTELLING and FOUR SIMULTANEOUS TIMELINES) and I missed a step and twisted my ankle. The swelling is pretty grotesque, ngl, I could probably frighten small children with it. My sister is awesome however and brought me a Slurpee and Mad Men/True Blood and ice packs. :D
Remember that incentive from last month where Diva was older and Batmanning it up on a rooftop with an iPhone? Well, this is the conversation I imagine she was having. (I swear, Pete and I have this conversation all the time. I correct him: “no, it’s actually a grand wyrm, thank you very much”, and then I realize he’s just proven his point. :F)

I was wondering the same thong last update. Granted I am more worried what Loki has done in the past. I still remember Virgil freeing him in the “(Really) Old Man Adventures” strips.

Oh dear god, i hope you’re going to be OK brinson. the last thing you’d need is a hair line bone fracture.
Panel 1: um, did Loki the Hypno Bishie stuff a pillow in his shirt or what? it looks a bit off if you ask me.
OH! that’s right! Loki was able to get the jump on Virgil and win because Dweb snake wasn’t there! that would explain Virgil in the closet. (sigh) i miss Dweb snake…..

And, in other news… I’ve been there in scary-ankle-swelling land. A really bad sprain is nearly impossible to tell from a micro-fracture without an x-ray. So, you should get it looked at. Seriously.
On the up side, a fracture will heal faster than a sprain, according to th podiatrist Oo;

chicken soup won’t help a fracture Dusty. time, rest, Milk (i would advise skim, healthier that way) and bananas at least. Brinson might need the Calcium and Phosphorus to promote bone healing and strengthen her bone density. …oh and a purring cat too. trust me on that last one. ;-)

Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting Virgil to be tied up in the closet! (I was expecting that closet to actually be another room, and that Virgil was fighting a dangerous beastie in there. Don’t ask.)
Re: Incentive… When I saw that logo on the laptop, I thought it was a ring (like Saturn’s ring). Now I’m not so sure…

I’m getting the idea that Loki DIDN’T lock Virgil in a wardrobe to help our favorite Really Old Man find Narnia…and somehow I suspect that Loki’s answers may be of the mind-screw variety.

Ouch about the ankle! I hope you’ll look into arnica gel-it will take down the swelling much faster, and reduce pain too. Also, bromelain, a pineapple extract, will help to remove the blood from the area of the bruise. You can take it as a capsule or just eat some, if you like it.
